Learning is quite difficult in the pandemic.

Privileged am I to be able to study in this challenging time. This reflection task would briefly address one difficulty in the first week and another one aims to achieve in the future week respectively. The former is to establish the learning boundaries at home while the latter is to keep improving my academic English by finishing my assignments.

To begin with, setting the learning boundary is the key element for remote learning successfully. A challenge I faced is family members often disturb me hugely while I was preparing before attending each class. After consulting my peers and receiving suggestions from the internet, I had established a better studying environment of mine by negotiating with my family. For example, I discuss with my parents when would be the adequate time I could assist in taking care of my dementia grandpa.

Moreover, I would like to achieve the goal, improving academic English, by keeping finishing each task assigned by teachers. In the last week, I had submitted my writing homework, diagnostic essay, which was quite challenging for me to finish this task. I also presented my three minutes Padlet talk, “The indigenous naming pattern/culture in Taiwan”, in the speaking and listening course which provide me an opportunity to improve my oral presentation skill and learn the new digital platform, Padlet, which I never used before. In this week, I would work hard to achieve each goal(homework) and learn with clever peers in the class.

To conclude, Learning online is not easy. I am very glad to join this thriving learning community and wish to grow as strong as I can.
